Dear FLTDC member:

 

It’s that time of year again:  our conference is coming up and it is time to register and renew your membership.  As always, your Board is working hard to organize what promises to be a great event. It will take place Tuesday, November 6th, 2018, at Miami Dade College, North Campus 11380 N.W. 27 Ave.   Building 3 - Conference Center and the conference theme is:

Attached you will find two separate forms, one for the conference registration, if you are attending the conference, please fill out the conference registration form, which includes your membership. Please remember that your dues cover membership for a full year, (October2017 to October 2018). Please keep in mind that in order for your students to participate in the World Language County Competitions sponsored by the organization, and the FLTDC Scholarships, the sponsoring teacher (the current language teacher of the student who is participating) must be a current member of  FLTDC.

 

You will also find a second form to become a presenter in our conference. This is a great way to share with your colleagues your experiences and expertises, a way to get involved and it could helped you fulfill your IPEGS; while  receiving  receiving master plan points. Please do not forget to register online in My Learning Portal in order to receive the points.

 

I urge you to send in the conference registration as soon as possible.  Fill out the information accurately in order for us to have the correct data.  Remember that the organization cannot accept purchase orders or credit card payments, you can pay with : a personal check, money order or a school check (as we are registered with Miami Dade County Public Schools as a vendor).  As a suggestion to get this funded, you can try your school’s Tittle I, PTSA or ESSAC as sources to pay your registration.
